Les Rencontres Scientifiques de l'IFP: Stockage Géologique du CO2 et de l'Energie en Aquifères Salins Profonds

Les aquifères salins profonds des bassins sédimentaires offrent un volume poreux important qui, dans les prochaines décennies, sera de plus en plus sollicité pour le stockage cyclique ou à long terme de diverses substances (gaz naturel, CO₂ , chaleur, ...). Des questions très diverses sont associées à leur utilisation, que ce soit en termes de performances, ou – plus spécifiquement pour le CO₂ – en termes de capacité, de taille et de permanence des stockages.
 
Cette rencontre scientifique internationale, supportée par Schlumberger, a rassemblé près de 240 participants et a permis à des experts de la recherche universitaire, de la recherche appliquée et de l'industrie de présenter leurs travaux et d'échanger des idées et des expériences sur les applications à venir en matière de stockage en aquifères, avec la perspective d’utiliser efficacement l'énergie tout en préservant l’environnement.
